What level do I need?
The initial focus is A0–A2: from first words to simple everyday exchanges. We clarify suitable dialogues and support when you join.
Will someone correct my mistakes?
Choose just chat or help from a teacher. Agree on the practice style and language for explanations before talking.
How much does participation cost?
The pilot is completely free for everyone taking part. We plan to keep the project’s core features free in the future.
Does this replace courses?
No. Pakalbėkim adds speaking practice to what you learn in courses, apps and books.
How do I find a venue and a conversation partner?
Choose a participating venue in the app and check its participation times. Look for someone wearing the Pakalbėkim sign; ask a staff member if you are unsure.
Do we need to agree on a time?
Follow the times agreed with the venue. If staff are busy, arrange another time.
How do we finish the conversation?
Finish the dialogue and confirm the conversation in the app. You can optionally send your partner an appreciation message. This is not a test.
I help people speak
Do I need to be a native speaker?
No. You may have learnt Lithuanian yourself. What matters is a confident command of the language and patience with beginners.
Can I help outside a venue?
If you would like to help people speak Lithuanian independently of your workplace, leave your contact details. Participation currently works through partner venues. We will contact you when a separate way to join becomes available.
When should I correct mistakes?
The learner chooses the practice style before talking. A speaker supports the conversation; a teacher helps with corrections and pronunciation when requested.
How do I start the meeting?
Greet the learner, scan their QR code and review the shared dialogue. Check their practice style and language for explanations.
How do I finish the meeting?
